August sure went by very fast, we started to make some headway and a lot of fun decisions were made! Our office will have a small-town feel with a farmhouse/country/rustic look to it. Towards the end of the month we received our first sign from Tony Fenech with Fenech Designs ( a local artist with some serious talent). The photo below shows myself and Tony in front of the new sign which will be up soon! We are only waiting on finalizing window locations before it will go up. Tony is also making one more blade style cedar sign for the front of the building as well. Some of you may be wondering why I opted to use my name, rather than our official clinic name "Manoff Dental" on this sign. Why not something a little more catchy, or flashy? The main reason I decided on this sign was to keep things simple and to emphasize that we are a family owned practice where I am both the owner, and the operator! You will notice in all of my signs/ social media / office décor there is a lot of wheat present. This is because I am from the prairies and wanted to reflect my rural/ prairie roots. I am a proud farm kid and thought the wheat was the perfect way to reflect this! Speaking of which, we also finalized our official logo that you will eventually also see on the front of the building as well as social media and any other community events going forward.
We made quite a bit of headway with regards to dental equipment this month. Our orders for major equipment (dental chairs, x-ray machines, sterilization areas, dental cabinets, compressors, suction units etc.) were all placed. This meant some fun decisions on design/colors and deciding on the type of equipment I would like to use. Stay tuned to find out what I chose.
September will be a very busy month for us! We have lots going on with the setup of the office, we expect to make a lot of progress this month with construction. We have also plans to attend a dental convention where we will be looking at some technology that we will be purchasing for the office. Stay tuned to find out where we will be going and what type of technology we will be looking at!
