September 2023

September has gone by very quickly and we are making some progress with construction. So far we are still on track for a January 2024 opening! We had a very busy month with two major events: A dental convention, as well as the Grand Valley Fall Fair. We also made some major headway with regards to construction. The most notable being the front is being fully renovated by local Grand Valley contractor Tyler Kloet with  Blueline Home Services.

From September 19th-22nd we attended a dental convention called "DS WORLD" which is the largest dental convention in North America that focuses on digital dentistry. I am a very firm believer in staying up to date in the latest advancements in our field and thus I wanted to look at the technology we plan to purchase in person. We felt this was worth taking the time to travel and really get to physically see the equipment in order to decide what will be best for our practice and our patients. I have been very lucky to have had an extensive amount of experience with this type of technology in my current positions. I am a firm believer in providing patients with the highest standard of care, all while keeping comfort and convenience in mind. With the latest advancements in digital dentistry, treatments that would traditionally take 2 appointments can be done in one single visit. This saves our patients from taking additional time off of work as well as reduces the number of times you have to have freezing etc. Next month I will be announcing exactly what technology we purchased. I am very excited to be offering these services in my practice! See the photo below of myself and Jeff at the convention.

When we got back from the convention it was time for the Grand Valley Fall Fair! Being the farm kid that I am, I absolutely love this time of year as it means its both time for harvest, as well as being fair season. Our family had a table set up in the arena on Saturday where we offered face painting as well as tattoos and other goodies for the kiddos that stopped by! We also had a draw for our fellow business owners down the street at "Coffee and Scoops" for a gift card to be used when they re-open. We enjoyed getting to meet so many families in the area and are excited to welcome many of you to our office soon. After we were finished at our booth for the day we got to take in the tractor pull as well as check out all of the exhibits and have some local food from the vendors! See the picture below of Jeff, myself and Arthur at our booth at the 2023 Grand Valley Fall Fair!
