Digital Impressions

 

At Manoff Dental, we are reducing the need for those goopy, messy impressions. This is especially nice for those who are gaggers! We have an "intraoral scanner" which allows for us to take most impressions with a simple scan of your teeth. The scanner has a camera at the end of a wand that we use to take pictures of your teeth. This can be sent to the lab digitally and used in the same way that our goopy impressions used to. The lab makes a 3D model of your teeth which can then be used in the same fashion that a traditional mold can be used for. For some procedures traditional impressions may still be required but we do have both options at our office!
